Just another example of how foods can possibly affect ME symptoms. This fatty acid, found in ruminant fat & milk and sea buckthorn, has been found to affect T cell function. In this study, it's for fighting cancer, but it would affect other T cell activity too. I was wondering whether this might explain why ruminant fat affects my sleep cycle, but probably not, since evening primrose oil and safflower oil have the same effect, and have CLAs rather than TVA. Still, if ruminant meat or sea buckthorn have an effect on your ME symptoms, look into TVA as a possible explanation.
